NetMan Desktop Manager's integrated load balancing provides automatic mechanisms to maximize the availability of network resources. If one of the terminal servers in the network should fail due to a hardware fault or the like, NetMan Desktop Manager automatically removes the machine from the cluster and distributes its load among the remaining servers. As soon as the failed machine is back online and reconnects with NetMan Desktop Manager, the load balancing mechanism automatically adds it to the cluster.
In combination with NetMan Desktop Manager's application-based load balancing, this gives you high performance and high availability without any interaction on the part of the clients.
Furthermore, to ensure maximum availability of the server on which NetMan Desktop Manager is installed, it can be integrated in a Microsoft cluster. Such a cluster consists of at least two servers. If one of them fails, its services are automatically provided by the others. In this way you can ensure that mission-critical applications are available at all times.
Redundant storage systems, such as RAID 5 disk arrays, can also be used to cut down-time to an absolute minimum.
