Boosting Productivity

Managing all user and company data centrally helps the company's IT services provide greater security and efficiency. But the combination of Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server and NetMan Desktop Manager can also increase the productivity of each individual employee. Sophisticated application management ensures that all employees have access to the specific information and applications they need, regardless of where they log on to the network.

NetMan Desktop Manager also makes sure that the necessary applications are always available to employees who are in the field or telecommuting over a secure connection. And remote employees can use practically any Windows operating system. Furthermore, remote users enjoy high flexibility in accessing their applications, which are available both through the locally installed NetMan Desktop Client and through the integrated web front-end.

By making sure that the user's familiar, individual environment is always available, NetMan Desktop Manager ensures that work is productive regardless of the user's location.

At the same time, the Internet filter integrated in NetMan Desktop Manager makes sure that employees are not distracted by web browsing, since only websites that are authorized for the given user or workstation are available. When the NetMan Desktop client is installed, the filter works both for local browser sessions and within Terminal Server sessions. Web access is then controlled by means of blacklists and whitelists that can be easily adjusted by the administrator. Furthermore, the filtering can also be process-specific if desired. This ensures that applications can access their online help systems or the like, even if Internet access is otherwise completely blocked. All common browsers are supported.
