License information
Licensing Model
In order to make NetMan Desktop Manager licensing as simple as possible, the licensing model used is the same as that for station access to Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server: Every thin or fat client workstation that accesses the applications published through NetMan Desktop Manager must have a device license. This rule is analogous to Terminal Server's "per device" license mode. A NetMan Desktop Manager device license is bound to the given workstation, but does not depend on any specific user using the workstation.
Once a station has a device license, it can open any number of instances of NetMan Desktop Manager and any number of applications served by NetMan Desktop Manager. Furthermore, NetMan Desktop Manager licensing is unaffected by the number of terminal servers installed in a given network.
For maximum purchasing flexibility, NetMan Desktop Manager licensing combines two kinds of license codes:
- A license code for the base product
- One or more expansion license codes, with which you can expand your installation to the required number of device licenses
NetMan Desktop Manager Device Licensing Model
- NetMan Desktop Manager Basic Package, including 5 device licenses
- NetMan Desktop Manager Basic Package, including 20 device licenses
- 5 additional NDM device licenses
- 50 additional NDM device licenses
- 500 additional NDM device licenses
Different packages can be combined as desired to obtain the number of licenses you require.
