Detailed logs and efficient analytical tools are vitally important for successful system administration. Here again, NetMan Desktop Manager offers far-reaching enhancements compared with Microsoft's terminal server. The station monitor and log monitor clearly list all active stations, activity and time stamps, computer names, IP addresses and operating systems.
Like the station monitor, the server monitor detects all processes on the terminal servers in the NetMan Desktop Manager cluster. Active processes and sessions can be shown in a cumulative display, or selected and controlled for specific servers. The graphic view of CPU and memory loads is an important tool for evaluating the current status of the server cluster.
The integrated diagnostics monitor can be used to analyze all of NetMan Desktop Manager's system input and output. The events displayed can also be filtered by priority to provide important information at a glance. Furthermore, to increase the efficiency of help desks, NetMan Desktop Manager allows administrators to start any application remotely on the client, and to mirror users' sessions.
